Stories

He is Risen!
Hello, today I wanted to do an Easter post since it is just around the corner. So in school we had to write a first person point of view on  the Easter story being one of the characters besides Jesus. So I decided to be the tree. I was the tree who became the cross! Comment below if you believe He is Risen!! Also comment below what grade you think I am going to get on this assignment. So please relax, pull up a chair, as I present to you The Easter Tree.
The Easter Tree
Lately I have seen the strangest things! Oh yeah, I am Bella, the tree. You're probably wondering how strange of a thing a curious tree like me could see.Well, the one thing I want to accomplish in my time is, I want to be important. Yeah it's really strange thing but I want to make a difference. My other friends got chopped down.  Sophie into a manger and Lila into a little fishing boat. They sent me a letter saying that Sophie held the most precious treasure, the newborn king. And Lila carried the king of Heaven and Earth. I want to be just like them one day. Anyway back to my story I was standing tall pointing to God. When from the hilltop when  I saw a crowd. They lined the streets waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna”. Just as all this happened a man rode in on a donkey’s foal. The crowd seemed to love this guy. They praised him as he rode into town. I wondered who he was. Just five days later I was getting ready for Passover when I heard a few men talking. One man said “I know Jesus for 30 pieces of silver I will give him to you” the other man said” okay how will I know which one is him?” the first man replied” I will anoint him with a kiss” “ very well then where will he be?”  The third guy questioned.  the first guy by the name of Judas answered” I will have supper with him, hear where he's going, then come get you, lead you there, And show you which one is him by kissing him. You guys will bring soldiers and arrest him.” “Ok” they all agreed.  later on around 10 p.m. I saw the soldiers lead the man they called Jesus to Caiaphas, the high priest. I just cannot believe how unjust they are treating that man. He kind of looks like that humble man that rode in on the donkey. But if he is then why were they praising him and now  whipping, beating, and spitting on him. He still acting as humble as he was when he rode in on the donkey. I closed my eyes and pondered these things. Then suddenly I open my eyes I see a giant axe being swung at me. Ahhhh!! Chop!! Ouch!! Two men laughed and evilly grinned at me. From that point on I did not like those men. All I wanted to do was be important. I prayed ”God, was standing tall pointing to you not good enough?” They carried me away just as they did to Jesus. Except instead of putting me on trial, they put me on a carpenter’s table. They cut me into thick pieces of wood. The steaming blade was like a million fiery swords cutting through my trunk. So smooth yet so hard. Once they finished cutting me they nailed two of my once trunk pieces together to form a t. On Friday morning I woke up to the rooster crowing. This morning was like no other, the rooster crowed three times instead of once, and instead of being on the cold hard carpenter’s table I was at the bottom of Mt.Calvary. Then Jesus was led straight towards me. But now he has sores, bruises, and wounds all over his body. He gently picked me up and tiredly I started up the mountain. Now the crowds roared with anger and bitterness. I just don't understand! Another man came over viciously ripped me from Jesus and lugged me up the mountain. Was I that heavy? I am on a strict glucose diet. Then he laid me on the ground. They viciously knocked Jesus off his feet onto me. He lie on me and pain just when those evil men came back with a nail and hammer. This I did not understand, they nailed Jesus to me. How cruel do these men get? They nail Jesus’ hands and feet to me. The men put a note above his head saying ”King of the Jews”.  I guess that is why he is wearing a crown of thorns. They picked me and Jesus up and firmly posted me into the ground. All the people mocked him. I barely noticed the other two t’s with men on them one on either side of me. One woman, I noticed wept loudly and seemed to be as if she were Jesus’ mother. I was so amazed at Jesus. During the darkest hours he hung strong. When the time came I felt Jesus sink. He said “It is finished.” I felt Jesus’ spirit leave. Just then the temple veil tore in two. Jesus was gone. I know even though Jesus died he was a special man. Soon after they took me out of the ground, laid me down, pulled the nails out of me and Jesus' body. A man named Joseph came and took Jesus’ body. He and Nicodemus took the body to an empty tomb. They traditionally wrapped his body, placed it in the tomb, and sealed it. There were several rumors that went around predicting in three days Jesus would rise from the dead. No one was very sure. They saw how he died. Pilot ordered guards to stand guard in front of the tomb to make sure no one took the body and claimed that he rose from the grave. On the third day  the tomb was opened and Jesus rose from the dead! He is the King! He is God! Jesus is Alive!
