Melody review and Wish List

Hey Guys, Happy Sunday! Today is going to be a thoughtful post... A review of Melody. I know what your thinking... Did she get another? Where is the money coming from? She just got Julie now she is getting melody!?

No, No, NO! I am just reviewing her, I have not gotten her...yet. he he he. So now that we got that clear Let's move onto the review! ( Swipe)

I think Melody is adorable! I am very excited for a textured haired doll, and a darker skinned doll. I love the colors they chose for her, they match her very well. When I first heard about her I was not sure if I wanted her but now I know I want her. So we'll see if I get her or 2017 Girl of the year. (or if I get her for Christmas or my birthday) I like the colors of the dress but I'm not sure if I like the dress. I think the bows on the sides are a little strange. I love the shoes and her headband though!

Um... These accessories are cute... but not necessary. I love the blue color. I like the accessories but not sure the are worth buying.My favorite piece is the purse. I know it is probably how they used to wear it but I don't like how the hat flips up. You can't see the bow! I think the glasses are Okay. And the pin... I think it is nice that they included the pin it really relates to her historical characterization. But, I just don't see me using it. So overall I think this set is cute but not worth $24.

Next is the Fancy Floral Dress. I like the colors of the dress. I like the shoes they look cute. The gloves are okay there is no white anywhere else so they don't match that great but they are okay. And the dress, I watched American Girl Ideas and they described the material as a plastic tablecloth.. I have not felt it for myself but I heard them crinkle the dress and it sounded like a tablecloth too.. So I am not very sold on this dress. I don't like the design either. I think that if the ruffles were longer than it would be better.

Next is the Hairstyling set. I really like this. I think it is cool that they have extra hair to put on her. I like how girl will be able to interact with that feature. I think it is very cool that they clips go on and off so you can decide. The only bad things are that I think it might be a bit hard to put on and make sure that the hair looks natural.And it is a bit pricey for hair. $22, I could almost buy an outfit for her. Also every time you take it off when you put it back on you will have to readjust it to look natural again. Overall I like this piece.

I think this set is so cool! I love how realistic looking this is. I am so happy they included the chair and the music stand. I think it is great that it really works. I like how they put sheet music for all the recorded songs. I love the wall phone too. I am not a huge sticker person but I think girls will enjoy them. I like this set but it is kind of big and pricey so I probably won't end up getting it even though I love it. Overall I think this set is very cool and girls will enjoy it.

I love this! I love this! I love this!! I loved the recording studio except size and cost, So I love this because it is smaller and less expensive! I love you you can still interact with the microphone! And I like that they included sheet music with it as well. I think the tambourine is a nice addition as well. I really like how realistic this microphone looks! I think Melody will have lots of fun singing with her microphone! I hope I can get this set for Melody!

Next is her piano. I think this is a neat addition. I like AG’s baby grand better but think this is cute. I think this would fit right in with Melody’s Microphone. She can sing and play! I like the sheet music included, and how girls can really play the notes. I think it is a bit pricey but not too bad. I think many girls will appreciate this piece. I am not sure i would spend $48 on this item. I think I would prefer my microphone and tambourine.

I REALLY LOVE this outfit! This has to be either my first or second favorite outfit in Melody’s collection! I think these colors look adorable on Melody! I love the buttons and the collar. I think the pom poms on the slippers are so cute! I love her hair in braids and will definitely do that if I get her. I love the pattern on the pajamas The stars are cute! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!

I think Bojingles is cute. I love the bow on his collar that folds out into a leash! I love his scraggly look to his fur it makes him look so real! I like how Bo’s collar color matches Melody’s dress.

Umm… let’s talk about this bed. I think it is cute. I like the attached cabinets. The colors are ok. I just cannot picture Melody with this bed. She has so much more personality than this bed brings. It might be better with the accessories which I think should have been included. Overall I think it is cute but not for Melody.

I think these are cute. I think it is nice and realistic to have a book, the freedom march posters go along with her, I understand the radio because she likes to sing so she must like listening to music, the elephant stuffed animal is cute, and the music poster is nice. I don't like how many paper items are in this. I wish there were more real items like trophies or something along those lines. And I wish these were included with Melody’s bed. Other than that they are cute.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit! This is so so so adorable! Words cannot express my deep love for this outfit! This is, along with her pajamas, either my first or second favorite of her collection. I love the striped colors on her top and the color of her shorts matches perfectly. I love the tassels on the bottom of her top. I love the unique style they chose; to cut the bottom zig zag and attach tassels to the end. And the bows in her hair! I love her hair in braids and I love the bows. The shoes are different but still cute, I love how they match the stripes.Overall this is amazing, I have to get it and cannot wait until then.

Next, is her table and chairs set. Umm, Hmmm, uhh… this is interesting. It is very different. The two toned table is cute. The chairs are strange. I really don’t have much to say about this. I don’t really see how this has anything to do with Melody. Maybe there is something in her book about it… Someone tell us in the comments please! I guess she needs somewhere to set her food in the block party set, but I’m not sure how it relates to her otherwise.

This is cute. I am not sure how this relates to her again but it is very cute. I love the bingo set! And the hot dogs are very cute. I love the pies! I think they are adorable!I would like this set.

I love this dress! I love the colors, the style, everything! I really want this outfit! It is my third favorite after her pajamas and her play outfit! This is just so cute! If I got Melody I want this dress to go along with her!

I really love this coat. It reminds me of Caroline’s coat. I think the hat is adorable! I love how well it matches her christmas outfit but is not identical! This will be a fun piece to play around with! I love how it looks on her, it is not my favorite but it is cute! And would most definitely me a neat addition to my collection!

Lastly, her travel accessories! I think these are neat. I think the bathroom box is cute. I think the collapsable cup is very neat and different than most things I’ve seen. I love the red case it is very cute and reminds me of Isabelle's dance box! I think this is a very interesting addition to Melody’s collection!

Introducing ... Julie

Hey Guys, I have some exciting news! If you did not read the title of this post then I got Julie! And if you did read the title of this post then I still got Julie! I am so excited! She is so pretty. Here is the story...

         So, Wednesday me and my good friend, Daly, went to the American Girl Place! We had to drive for a while but it was worth it! Of course we had to look at everything before we started piling up our shopping bags. We walked around the whole store then went back to the dolls. Daly had not gotten Lea yet so was deciding between Lea, Julie, and Maryellen. I did get Lea this year if you have not read that post you can go back and read it after you read this one. So, I was deciding between Julie, Rebecca, and Maryellen. I also considered saving my money for Melody's release. We had so much fun going through all the rooms, I never wanted to leave. She finally after hard deciding made her choice... Julie Albright! I tried not to let her decision not influence me too much. After a long 5 minuets of back and forth between the rooms I made my decision. I decided to get... Julie Albright! I did have other reasons that Daly was getting her to get her.

• I love her hair! There is so much I can do with it and it will be easier to maintain that Rebecca's curls.
• I love her style! I think all of her clothes are so cute on her and on other dolls! 
• She is so pretty! I love her skin tone and her gorgeous brown eyes! 
• I love the colors she looks good in! I love pinks and oranges and yellows and those are her colors!
• I love everything about her! I love her long hair, her eyes, her style, her colors, and all of her!

I am very happy with my choice! I also got a few outfits I will show you!

I love all the clothes I got her. Actually I bought everything myself. Except my mom bought me the Coconut Cutie Outfit because it is retiring. It was on sale for $15 if you Paid $50 or more. I am so happy and so grateful for everything I got!
Daly got Julie (like me) The new Stars and Stripes set( I didn't get) because she likes the Olympics, and the Coconut Cutie Outfit ( like me)! Just to be clear I love the Olympics I just wanted different things if I had extra I would have gotten it though! I had so much fun with her and hope to go again!

The Miracle Part 5

It happened a long time ago...

Ok
Coconuts eggs hatched. Yea. This time I was late because even though it is a beautiful thing to watch life happen, We were not as excited this time because all the babies are the same color and pattern...

Yes, 14 Baby Albino corn snakes. They are amazing though. They all have personalities and habits.
They are still pretty. All 14 are happy and healthy. And the first 8 are doing great too! Since we got all the same we did not take any pictures sadly. Here is a picture of what they look like.


They have all eaten twice except for one of them only ate once. They will be for sale in 2 weeks. The first 8 babies are for sale so go back and look and comment if there is something you like. Summer Bucket List!

Hey guys! Today I have a different kind of post for you all. If you haven't already noticed I am posting my Summer bucket List! I have a lot of fun things I want to do this summer and I am super excited to share them with you all! So lets just get right into My 2016 Summer Bucket List!

1. Walk through a drive through. This sounds weird and fun! I just need to get one of my friends to do this with me sometime over the summer. Because believe me 1 they would LOVE it, and 2 I am not doing it alone! I don't know how our moms would think of this though... Hee...hee...hee

2. Have a bonfire at the beach with some friends. I have done this before and it is tons of fun! My friend does this for her birthday party often. Maybe I will too. I love smores to so it is a win win!

3. Make a scrapbook of memories with my friends. We are going into Junior High next year so we are going to change and I don't want to loose old memories, but I want to save new memories.

4. Finish a few chapters for my novel. Yeah I have not gotten very far. I have already started new novels before finishing my old one so I just want to power through it! If you are a writer you would understand!

5. Buy a fin fun. I know I am a bit old to have a mermaid swim suit. But lets be honest... We all want to be a mermaid. It does not matter how old anyone gets we all would be thrilled to get a mermaid tail! Its True! I know this probably wont happen because they are so expensive but I can dream! If I can't buy one for me maybe I will be able to buy one for my dolls! They are very inexpensive for the dolls but not for girls. i just cannot decide between four colors. The Tropical Sunrise, Arctic Blue, Malibu Pink, and  the Aussie Green!

6. Buy a Wellie Wisher. American Girl just launched a new line of dolls called Wellie Wishers. They are devoted to 5-7 year old girls. They can also be used as the younger sisters to the American Girls. So I want Camille to be the younger sister for my dolls. I think it would me tons of fun. They are only $ 60 too!

7. Make a candy topped pizza. I have seen people do the pizza challenge and wondered if it would taste good with just candy on top of a pizza crust! I think it would be fun to make and delicious to eat after too!

8. Have a Disney movie marathon with some close friends. I don't remember all the movie plots and I didn't see them all so I want to watch then again. Maybe I could could get a few ides for my novels too!

9. Take my friend camping. One of my close friends has never been camping so I want to take her!

10. Do a photo shoot with my friends. This sounds like a ton of fun, and it could help me with my photography. I think all of my friends would love to have a photo shoot over the summer. We could got to the park to shoot it!

11. Have a picnic at the park with my friends. I think it would be fun to go to the park and have lunch.

12. Spend the night in a tent in my backyard with some friends. This sounds like a lot of fun. it would be like a sleepover, just outside, in a tent!

13. Have a craft marathon. I want to do tons of messy crafts in one day!

14. Breathe in helium and talk! I have always wanted to try this! It sounds funny!

15.  Babysit. I want to babysit over the summer. I am hoping I can babysit my cousins! I love them!

16. Go to a drive in movie. I remember when I was younger doing this with my family. We had a lot of fun!

17. Serve at V.B.S. I am so excited my mom signed me up to serve with my church at vacation bible school . Every other year I have gone. But this year I can work! My mom signed me up to do a craft area with her!

18. Serve as worship team for my church! I signed up last week to do worship at church. I still have to audition but I am hoping to be able to lead worship!

19. Go to AMC dine in theater to see a movie. Near my house we have an AMC movie theater and it has a dine in theater. I really want to try it out over the summer! Maybe one of my friends would too!

20. Get a free Icee from 7-eleven on July 11th. I really like Icees and I think it is cool that they are free!

The miracle part 4

Guess what again!
Big mama our super pastel ball python laid her eggs! She laid 8 huge eggs! Her eggs are much bigger than the corn snake eggs. They are even bigger than chicken eggs! They feel different too! they have a leather like texture!We bred her to our male pinstripe ball pythons, so we should have some gorgeous babies! I can't wait for her eggs to hatch. We sadly don't have many pictures of her because her laying story was much different than the others. We were camping the day she was supposed to lay her eggs! My dad decided to put our security camera on her instead of the door. He took her hide box too so we could watch her through the camera's app. As soon as we got there and started unpacking the trailer. She laid her eggs. We watched her lay the first one and checked back once and a while. That night when she finished she coiled around them and shook her scales to incubate them unlike the corn snakes. Our last count before she completely covered them was 7 eggs. Here is a screen shot of her and the eggs through the camera.   

When we returned home we debated the best way to pull them out. We got advice and decided just to pull her out then pull them out. Since corn snake and ball python eggs have to incubate at a different temperatures we decided to leave Coconut's eggs out and let the room incubate them. We keep the room temperature the same as the incubator should be for the eggs. In the wild corn snakes lay, then leave their eggs. We do not have a heater in the cages for the corn snakes so we keep the room the same temperature they need since they don't need as special heating and cooling as the ball pythons do . The ball pythons have a heater in their cages to keep their temperature an humidity just right. We put Big Mama's eggs in the incubator. We could have left them with her and she would incubate them herself. But it is healthier for her,  for us to pull them so she could eat sooner and get back to full health sooner. When we pulled them Big Mama was very cooperative. My dad reached in pulled her out put her in a box out of the way while we pulled the eggs out and put them in  shoe box. we had to clean the entire cage to get rid of the egg smell. If she smelt the eggs still she would either hunt for them, or incubate something that smelled like them. They are her babies so she wants to protect them. They should be hatching in August. Here is a picture of the eggs in the shoe box before they went in the incubator.

The Miracle part three

Guess what? 

It happened! 

They hatched!

Skittles' eggs hatched! All 8 of them are happy and healthy! They are BEAUTIFUL! They hatched June 8-10 for an exact date Jun. 9.  We bred a butter motley to an albino. Here are all the pictures of them hatched. 

  

They are all so pretty.  So far all but three have eaten at least once. We love them all but can only keep a few. We are already seeing personalities in each snake. It is wonderful. Tell me in the comments if you would like one or want to see a better picture of a certain one. They will be for sale still in a couple of weeks. Like 2-3 is my guess.
